Via http://2wheeltuesday.com/2009/11/sbk...perbike-arena/Yoshimura Japan confirms that the motorcycle tuning company will switch from the Japanese Superbike Championship to race in select rounds of the 2010 World Superbike Championship.
Yoshimura has been involved in racing for over 50 years in Japan and runs Suzuki’s factory effort in the Japanese Superbike Championship and Endurance races. Yoshimura states that the best way to develop parts for the streetbikes is to continue growing in motorcycle racing. What better way to do this than move to World Superbikes and compete at the world level. Competition at the world level makes siginificant strides in product development. This will help Yoshimura increase their already excellent product range.
Yoshimura Suzuki has had incredible success in the United States and Japan. Most notably Mat Mladin and Ben Spies have won tons of races and helped the US Yoshimura Mladin win his seventh and final AMA Superbike title for Yoshimura Suzuki in 2009. The Japan Yoshimura team won this year’s Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance race and finished a close second in the Japanese Superbike Championship with Daisaku Sakai.
Alstare is currently Suzuki’s top WSBK team, but Yoshimura’s reputation and close links to the factory is sure to stir the competition up for the 2010 World Superbike season. It is unknown at this time if the switch will change the US racing operation.
No riders have been announced so stay tuned for more news…
Broc Parkes zu Echo CRS Echo Racing, die die 09er Stiggy Maschinen gekauft haben.

in Honda Broc Parkes World Superbikes
Austalian Broc Parkes has reportedly signed with CRS Echo Team Honda Racing to contest the 2010 World Superbike championship. Parkes, the second place finisher in the 2007 WSS championship, had a season to forget in 2009, winding up in 18th place in WSBK racing a factory Kawasaki ZX10 for Paul Bird Motorsports. CRS Echo, who fielded Michael Laverty in WSS in 2009, has acquired Stiggy Racing's 2009 CBR1000RR superbikes. It is thought that there is an outside chance that Stiggy (Johan Stigefelt ) himself may come over to the team to run the superbike effort, but Stigefelt is still trying to secure funding to run his own team in 2010, a prospect that he admits faces an uphill battle in today's tough economic climate.

Infront ändert die Superpole - ein wenig. Kurze Zusammenfassung:
Siehe unten.
Infront Motor Sports wishes to announce that there will be a new World Superbike Event Schedule starting from the 2010 season.
In a spirit of constant consultation with teams and other interested parties, a few changes have been made in the different classes, which are as follows:
In the Superbike class, the Superpole format has been slightly modified to Superpole 1 (14 minutes), Superpole 2 (12 minutes), Superpole 3 (10 minutes), with the 7 minute break between them remaining. The break between the end of free practice and the beginning of the Superpole has now been extended to 25 minutes from 15 minutes.
In Supersport one extra qualifying session has been added at 5pm on Friday afternoon on a request from teams, and the race on Sunday has been moved forward by 5 minutes to 13.30 on a request from TV stations.
In Superstock 1000 one qualifying session has been added at 3pm on Friday afternoon, as requested by the teams.
Finally the Superstock 600 race has been moved to Saturday afternoon at 6pm. There are now two qualifying sessions and one free practice session for this class.
In addition, starting from the 2010 season, the official timing will have an extra intermediate split in every circuit.

Wahnsinn! Die Reitwagen Jungs werden BMW Satellitenteam!
Via Josch und wieder via Asphalt and Rubber:
http://www.asphaltandrubber.com/raci...-team-to-wsbk/And now according to Swiss publication Speedweek helping BMW make a bigger push into WSBK is the news that German team Reitwagen Racing will run a S1000RR as WSBK satellite team.
Speedweek goes on to say that Austrian Roland Resch will ride one of the team’s S1000RR, as further rumors peg the team as possibly fielding a second satellite S1000RR as well. Reitwagon’s manager, Andy Werth, is clear that his team is not a factory effort, “We are a satellite team, which will receive support from the factory in specific areas.”
Jaaaaaaaaaa! Coole Sache!
