CARLOS CHECA'S hopes of landing a Ducati ride in MotoGP have been dashed after a deal with the Italian factory only turned up an Italian bike in WSB.

The Spaniard will be riding for the Althea team in WSB in 2010 after being dropped by the Ten Kate Honda squad earlier this month.
